CCC-NEWSLETTER DECEMBER'2013

The theme for the month of November is ‘Farm Animals’.

Farm animals are bred for many purposes. Hens gives us eggs, cows &goats provide us with nutritious milk. Different breeds of sheep provide many kinds of wool fibers which are made in clothing. Horses are used as working animals, sport and leisure activities. Keeping our theme in mind we organized a series of fun filled activities to teach the children about animals, their dwellings sound they make, food that they eat and about their little ones.

Diwali was celebrated on new moon day after Dussehra. This is the festival of lights. The Hindus decorate their houses with lights. At night people worship “Laxmi” the goddess of wealth. Diwali is the festival of joy. It is celebrated to mark the return of Lord Rama from 14 years of exile and his victory over the demon Ravana.
We at Crystal celebrated Deepawali on 1st November. Children came dressed up in traditional outfits. Lakshmi & Ganesh puja was performed in the school followed by Arti done by children. After the puja, children lighted ‘Phuljhari’ and had fun.

Children Day was celebrated on 13th November. It falls on 14th November every year. Children Day in India is celebrated on Pandit Nehru’s birthday as a day of fun & frolic, a celebration of childhood. Chacha Nehru as children fondly referred to him, was fond of roses & children. Infact he compared the two saying that children’s were like buds in the garden. They should be carefully & lovingly nurtured as they were the future of the nation. He felt that children are the real strength of a country & the very foundation of society. School organized a magic show for our little ones, which they thoroughly enjoyed. Children spend the whole day outside in the garden dancing & playing games.

Gurupurab was celebrated on 15th November. Gurupurab marks the birth anniversary of sixth Sikh guru, Guru Nanak. This is the sacred festival in Sikhism. Children visited Gurudwara on this occasion & relished the prashad served by them.

Children’s of Tots, Bambi & Simba section made Diwali cards for their parents. Bambi & Simba kids visited the post office & posted the cards made by them.
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali children decorated lanter’s made of paper & carried them home.

Peas were introduced to Bambi kids. They all relished peas pulao made for them in the class.

As a part of kitchen experience, Simba kids made Pizza in the school kitchen .
Simba kids did work in the activity book related to the theme of the month.

Tots made Sheep puppet by pasting cotton.
Children of Bambi & Simba section visited Janak Equertrian Club on 28th & 29th respectively. Janak Equertrian Club , Gurgaon is one of the finest in NCR area & is truly one of a kind founded in 1995, the club promotes equine sports & activities. Several sports person from the club have represented & excelled in various horses shows & championships. Horses are healthy, well trained & friendly for toddlers to enjoy their joy ride.

Make communication a priority. Children who participate in decisions are more motivated to carry them out.

CCC-Newsletter Oct'2013


It is now a well established fact that the competence of a Preschool curriculum has a significant impact during the child’s early development years. The change of season, on approaching winter sets an ideal mood for our little budding environmentalist to examine the leaves, flowers & trees.

The concept of Day & Night was introduced to the children. We have Day & Night because Earth rotates. It spins on its axis which is an imaginary line passing through North & South pole. At any time half of Earth faces Sun. This part has day. The other half of earth faces away from sun. It is Dark & has night.

EVENTS

The festival of Dussehra was celebrated with pomp & show at Crystal. Vijay Dashmi, also known as Dussehra, is one of the very important &fascinating festivals of India, which is celebrated in the lunar month of Ashwin. Lord Rama killed Ravana on this day. Dussehra gives the message that there is always victory of truth over evil.
Crystal Children’s Centre celebrated “Grand Parents Day“ to create a spirit of togetherness & fun with older generation. Grandparents are our heritage & are essential members of our families & communities. That is why a special day “Grandparents Day” is set aside every year to honor them & this is the special day for us to spend some time with our dear Grandparents & have fun together.

Children of Toddlers & PG 1 section presented a dance performance for Grandparents on “Chanda Chanda Mama” & ”itni si Hasi” songs respectively. Our PG 2 kids came dressed up as different characters of Ramayana & spoke few lines on the same. Children of PG1 & PG2 dedicated & enacted “you are my sunshine” song.

ACTIVITIES

Children’s of PG 1 & PG 2 were told about the germination. They planted beans in a thermocol glass & watched them grow. Bean seeds germinate in damp cotton wool, which makes the stages of germination easy to observe.
Children went for Nature Walk where they observed their surroundings closely. They picked up rocks, bark, grass, leaves, flowers etc and brought them back to the class. As we walked along, children were encouraged to talk about what they see & hear in natural surroundings. The kids were happy to water the plants & to run after butterflies & squirrels.
Tots, Bambi & Simba kids made a puppet of Ravana as Dussehra craft.
Bambi & Simba kids were told about Hibernation. Hibernating animals get ready for their winter sleep by eating extra food & storing it as body fat which they then use as energy while sleeping. Bears take shelter inside their caves, mouse inside their holes; fish, frogs & turtles shelter under logs, rocks & fallen leaves in winter. Children made Teddy bear mask which they were very excited to wear.
Simba kids made craft with letters U-Z. Tots pasted flowers & leaves on tree.

FIELD TRIP

Children of Bambi & Simba section visited Leisure Valley Park on 30th & 31st Oct’13 respectively. Children enjoyed themselves by running around, sitting on swings & seeing flowers all around.

BIRTHDAY

We wish Urav & Bhavisha a very happy birthday with loads of love from crystal family.

Make time for your children. Quantity is not nearly as important as what we do with bit & pieces of time you have with your child.

CCC-Newsletter|September'2013

The theme of this month was“MYSELF, FAMILY  & FRIENDS”. At Crystal we support newage ideals & family values. Family is an important unit of society. Afamily is the first school in which receives the basic values of life. 

The morals &values learnt in family become our guiding force & play thefoundation of our thinking.
Friendship is a feeling of love&affection of one person for another. It is said that a friend in need is afriend indeed. A friend is a divine gift to all of us. A friend is forever.

We encourage our children toexplore every talent & interest through various milestones appropriateactivities keeping this in mind we focused on role play, conversation &theme related activities.

EVENTS
This month we celebrate Teacher’sDay on 5th September .Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishan ‘s birth day isobserved as Teachers Day. In Indiaon 5th September. He believed that teacher are the real maker offuture citizens of India.Without the good advice of teachers nobody can be great. Children came dressedup as Teacher. It was right to see the kids enact their teachers
Purple day was celebrated on 20thSeptember, wherein the whole school was decorated with purple balloons &children come dressed up in Purple colour clothes.

ACTIVITIES

Tots (Toddlers) kids did spongepainting in car. They pasted purple colour flower in scrap book.
Bambi (PG-1) & Simba (PG-2) kids made Myself, scrapbook in whichthey did different activities related to themselves ,their family ,friends,favourite food, favourite toy, favourite fruit etc.

Simba (PG2) kids were introducedto phonetic sounds from (o-t}, & made craft with these letters. They made 

Ostrich with “o” sound, Piano with “p” sound, Quilt with “q” , Rocket with “r”sound,   Snake           with “s” sound,  Torch with “t” sound.

FIELD TRIP

Children of Bambi went to visitcobbler & Petrol pump. They were introduced to land transport & how itworks. They were taken to the petrol pump & shown how we fill petrol in cartank.
We went to the cobbler wherecobbler showed them how he repairs our shoes & makes them wearable.
Simba kids visited Supermarket.All the kids brought Rs 10/- &bought things of their choice from there.

BIRTHDAYS

This month we wish Vaishnavi,Ananya, Sara & Meher a very” Happy Birthday” with loads of love fromCrystal Family.

CCC-Newsletter- August'2013

Your children have been constant delight to us and we are enjoying watching them grow not just physically but socially and emotionally as well, becoming more & more independent. We continue our learning process with lots of fun based activities.

Theme for the month of Aug 2013 was “RAIN”. 
Rainy season comes after summer season, so this season brings relief to everybody. The air becomes cool & comfortable. The kids we were told about this season & lot of craft activities related to theme were done.

EVENTS

Eid is the festival after Ramzan, the month of worship, contemplation & Fasting. The three day festival marks the breaking the fast for Muslims at the end of Ramzan. Eid is a time for family & friends to get together & celebrate with good food, presents for children and giving charity. Children celebrated Eid on 9th Aug ’13 with Zest & Zeal. They ate sewaiyan & heard stories related to Eid.

The month of August comes to us with lots of importance & significance. India accomplished the much expected Independence in this month. We celebrate Independence Day every year on 15thAugust. This reminds us of great sacrifice made by our leaders to win freedom. Simba kids come dressed up as national leaders & spoke few lines on the same, with lot of confidence. Children sang patriotic songs & danced ontune of hindi song (suno gaur se duniya walo……………..).

This month we get to celebrate the bond between brother & sister on the occasion of Rakshabandhan. Rakshabandhan is a pledge from brother to protect the sister from all harm & trouble & a prayer from the sister to protect from evil. Children tied Rakhi to each other& exchanged gifts on 20th August’13.

Janmashtami is another reason to rejoice in this eventful month. Janmashtami is the birthday of Lord Krishna. The birth of Lord Krishna is believed to be symbolic of our imprisonment in worldly illusions where he took birth with us &led us to salvation & peace,vanquishing all evils  depicted by Kansa. Children of samba enacted skit based on Krishna’s birth & his early childhood, followed by dance performance by Bambi kids&tots. Pooja was performed in the school & the children were told about the Lord Krishna. All kids decorated flutes.

ACTIVITIES
The children of toddler section enjoyed sailing paper boat. They were given boats made with paper folding, which they sailed in water.

The children of PG 1(Bambi) made umbrellas with paper plates. They also decorate peacocks made with empty tissue rolls.They did group activity in which they enjoyed making rainbow by doing tearing&pasting.

The children of Simba (PG2) made craft with letters (J, K,L,M). They also made craft based on monsoon.

FIELDTRIP
The children of PG-I & PG II visited Sai Baba temple on 23rd & 30th August’13 respectively.Children spend sometime in the temple praying & hearing hymns. They sat & ate Prasad given by the priest.

BIRTHDAY

This month we wish Kriti, Irvaan, Samarth & Vansh a very Happy Birthday with loads of love from Crystal Family.

Overprotection weakens a child’s mental strength. An environment of over protection has everlasting influence on child’s personality whereby a child is unable to deal with challenges of life.Such children always fear to experiment & are thus always followers & never leaders.
